Blacktown Workers Club Groups’ “Aquacell Water Retention Technology“ at Workers Sports has received a prestigious 2015 Green Globe Award for Water Efficiency.
The winners were announced at the Green Globe Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 15 October at the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney.  Neale Vaughan, General Manager and Garry Allan, Grounds Supervisor who was instrumental in this project collected the award on behalf of the Board, Management, Staff and members of Blacktown Workers Club Group.
Neale Vaughan said, “We are incredibly proud and honoured to have the project recognised with a Green Globe Award, known in NSW as the leading environmental Awards. “
 “The work, dedication and foresight of the Board of Director and management team since 2002 was instrumental in bringing the idea to fruition. We are a leader in water retention and efficiency in the NSW club industry. As the first club to introduce the Aquacell water-retention technology for irrigating the club's playing surfaces and reducing reliance on mains water. As part of our sustainability strategic plan we intend to be 100% water self-sufficient. ”

We have been recognised by the Office of Environment and Heritage for our significant environmental achievements!  More than 60 organisations have been recognised as Silver Partners.
